Where minds thrive beyond labels

"You are fearfully and wonderfully made. And so is the way you learn."

Education often comes with expectations, labels, and challenges. But learning is for everyone, beyond traditional structures and narrow definitions.

I'm Adeola. I'm a science teacher, a dyslexia advocate, and someone who gets genuinely excited when a student finally gets it — that moment when something that felt impossible suddenly makes sense. That's why I do this.

I found out I had dyslexia in my final year at university. Looking back, I had probably been masking it for years, working twice as hard, finding ways to get through, never asking for help. I watched peers get diagnosed and still held back myself. The stigma around dyslexia and neurodivergence at the time made it feel like something to hide rather than understand. It wasn't until I reached a point where I genuinely needed support that I finally asked — and everything started to make sense.

Dyslexia is a learning difference. Not a limitation. And it is absolutely possible to thrive beyond any label, whether that's a diagnosis, a grade, or one of those casual labels people put on young people that follow them for years longer than they should.

Over seven years I've worked across mainstream and special schools, alternative provisions, churches, looked after children's homes, and online, with young people who just needed someone to see them differently. My faith shapes how I show up for every student. You are not your label. You are capable of far more than you've been told. And this space exists to help you prove it.

This space is for you — if you are...

  • A student building confidence in science
  • A young person discovering how your mind works
  • Someone growing into who you truly are
  • Anyone who has ever felt like they didn't quite fit the mould
  • Someone who needs an honest reminder that you are far more than any label placed on you

Every young person is different, and that includes how long they can focus comfortably. Sessions run for the full 60 or 80 minutes, but that time can be split to suit the learner. For example, 25 minutes of working together, a short break, then another 25 minutes, either in the same session or across two. There is no pressure to sit for the full time in one go. What matters most is that the young person feels comfortable and gets the most out of their time.

Precious

Student, A-Level Chemistry and Medicine Application

When sixth form started, I didn't have much confidence in regard to chemistry. I think as students we forget that studying isn't the only aspect of education we need to succeed, but it's also having confidence and believing you are capable of doing well. That's what this experience was for me — all while helping me to understand difficult concepts in A-level chemistry. When I self-doubted, Adeola would always reassure me, spend extra time with me and encourage me. She even helped me in aspects of my medicine application. Truly a one of a kind educator.

"I can't thank you enough for the hard work you did with my daughter. A very patient and amazing teacher. Even in areas that were not your job, you gave amazing advice to help her in her area of study. She'll be going to university to read Medicine this September. Thank you loads for everything."
